The Montco GOP Leadership: Sharon Thomas
Sharon is vice chairwoman of the Montgomery County Republican Committee. She entered elective public service in 2003 as a member of the Board of Directors of the Pottstown School Board. In 2005, she was elected mayor of Pottstown Borough. She worked with local GOP members to create a Republican majority on what was a Democratic Borough Council.
Sharon has developed several successful initiatives as mayor, based on raising and restoring community values.
Sharon has a diverse professional background, including a degree in biology, as well as experience as a domestic violence advocate through the Women's Center of Montgomery County. She is an ordained minister with the Victory Christian Life Center in Pottstown.
Sharon and her husband, Barry, have five sons, three granddaughters andone grandson.
